Both Owen and Tyler tell us how they got involved in the game, the clubs they played for and how they came to join Teesside. They discuss how the club has developed and their aspirations for when they get back to training.

We say a final series thanks to all the players, coaches and hidden heroes of Powerchair Football and promise to be back with series 2!

In this week’s episode, we’re up North again talking to award-winning Coach Paul Gorman and player Seb Copeland from Leeds Chariots PFC.

Both Paul and Seb tell us how they got involved in the game, how the club has developed and their aspirations for when they return and embark on the new season. They also discuss what they’ve been up to during lockdown and Paul’s strategy and some of the tasks he’s been using to help the players learn. Seb again relays how important the hidden heroes of powerchair football are and how important lockdown has been for giving them a break. He also tells us how exciting being part of the Emerging Talent Pathway training camps has been.

We play 2v1 and they take on the final challenge to grab their place on the leader board?

In this week’s episode, we talk to Northern Thunder and England International players Ed Common and Sam Smith.

Both Ed and Sam tell us what it’s like to play for a top northern team and how proud they are to be Northern Thunder through and through! True to his reputation Northern Thunder Captain, Ed is quiet and self-deprecating, but we manage to get him out of his shell for a discussion on what he’s been up to on the farm during the lockdown and his plans to work alongside a new Coach this season. While Sam tells us about studying journalism from home while shielding and looking forward to when he can get back to competing for his country.

They take on Dave during 2v1 but can they beat the might of West Bromwich Albion in the final challenge and take the top place on the leader board?

This week’s episode is a family affair as we talk to Paul Kelly, Head Coach of Manchester Utd PFC, son Patrick Kelly who plays for the team and Helen Musson Chairperson of Sale Utd, who also happens to be Paul’s wife and Patrick’s Mum.

Helen explains the relationship between the Sale and Manchester Utd teams and how infrastructure is key to the smooth running of both, along with the help and support of the ‘hidden heroes’ of the game including all the parents and volunteers. Patrick tells us about getting involved in Powerchair Football at the age of 3, how the game has developed since and what growing up with the team has meant to him while Paul talks about the skill involved in powerchair football and what Manchester Utd PFC have been up to during lockdown.

They also (along with three former coaches) pay tribute to Manchester United PFC player Jordan Duke who sadly passed away during the lockdown.

In this week’s episode, Dave is joined by two of his colleagues from Cheltenham & SW Allstars, Captain Dillon Parmar and Brian Dix, CEO of Goals Beyond Grass, Vice-Chair of the WFA and Chair of Cheltenham.

Dillon and Brian talk about how they got started in Powerchair Football and how they both came to Cheltenham. Dillon explains how a chance encounter in Pizza Hut set him on a path into the sport and to become Captain of the Cheltenham team and how his commitment to the game means travelling two and a half hours for training. Whilst Brian discusses moving from managing a running club to discovering and falling in love with the game and how he moved his work to focus 100% of his time on Powerchair Football.
