An online celebration of

POWERCHAIR FOOTBALL

an online celebration of powerchair football

We’re excited to announce that on Saturday, September 5th, in place of our End of Season Awards night, The WFA will be hosting a virtual Celebration of Powerchair Football; an event to celebrate and champion inspiring and talented individuals within our amazing sport. This year’s event is proudly sponsored by Irwin Mitchell

With health and wellbeing our primary concern, it is clear that we will not be able to hold our usual in-person dinner and ceremony due to restrictions on gatherings and social distancing requirements. This will not stop us from celebrating the individual and team achievements within Powerchair Football.

Our first-ever virtual awards night, delivered with the help and expertise of our good friends at Goals Beyond Grass, will not only highlight the accomplishments within the Muscular Dystrophy UK National League but will also recognise the achievements within regional and recreational Powerchair Football.

In the absence of Powerchair Football provision, the WFA is shifting its attention to addressing the mental health and wellbeing of our vulnerable community, as well as delivering virtual courses and events.

There are many ways in which you can get involved to help support The WFA and our Celebration of Powerchair Football: whether it is sponsoring one of our prestigious awards, making a donation, however big or small, to The WFA, or simply registering to attend our event; every contribution really makes a difference.

Only those that have registered will receive the login details for our September 5th event. Although our Celebration of Powerchair Football is free to attend, we are kindly asking people to contribute an optional donation of either £3.00, £5.00 or £10.00 to help support The WFA
